Wooden Garden Garage – “Rydell”

The name “Rydell” is Scandinavian for “Horseman”
With the size and thickness of our Rydell Log Garden Garage, we can see why the name is suited. There’s certainly enough room to house a horse or three (although we wouldn’t recommend it).

Featuring a huge 5.5m x 4.5m internal space, this garden garage can really pack a punch for usability. Likewise, it still manages to keep the characteristics of a traditional log cabin.

Built for strength and security

With its size, comes it’s strength. It features our 58mm double conical tongue and groove interlocking logs which are incredibly substantial

At the front is a large 2.5m wide x 1.95m tall double doors, more than big enough to drive your car into and keep the elements at bay.

There is also a solid single door to the side of this garage to allow pedestrian entrance. Fully double glazed to keep the cool out. As well as a durable handle and cylinder lock for security.

Roofing Options

As with all of our log cabins and garden garages we offer the choice of either standard roof felt or chose from a range of IKO felt shingles as roofing options.
Many of our customers opt for the shingles, as these have a much more appealing look to them, superior in quality and they last much, much longer. They also come in a number of shapes and colours to match the finish of your timber garden garage.

Timber Stain

This cabins is supplied untreated, we recommend that the building is treated with high quality paints and treatments. This very attractive finished wooden garden garage was stained using some of our Embadecor Timber Stain available in 14 different shades.

Teeming with Potential Uses

With its appealing size and structure, the “Rydell” has a multitude of potential uses.
Of course one of them is to store you car, motorcycle, or even a sit-on lawn mower in a secure location.

Garden Office

Another use is a garden office. With a lot more people now working remotely, out of the traditional office, this cabin is ideally equipped to provide a great garden office away from the distractions of the home. With the natural light having 2 points of entry as well at opening windows it can provide an excellent working environment.

Hobby / Craft Room

A hobby / craft room is also an option for this cabin. Make use of both spaces where you can concentrate on planning for your latest ideas in the smaller rooms, then move over to the larger room to make your ideas come to life.

Music Studio

This cabin is large enough for almost any use. One of our favourites is from one of our many happy customers. They converted their spacious cabin into a fully functional music studio.
Making use of our Insulation to help keep their cabin in use all year round, as well as our wooden flooring, this customer has really made their new space their own. They have complemented the space with additional wall lighting, sound absorbing ceiling panels, along with more than enough capacity for all their musical instruments.

Man Cave

A “man cave” is all the rage nowadays, a room where one or more male (or female) family members and optionally their friends can do as they please, indulge in hobbies, and hang out with friends. This space this log cabin provides is ideal for a retreat to watch sports matches, play video games, or just hang out. This customer has made use of an old mechanics bench as a small bar including optics. For a more traditional feel, one of our Log Cabin Style Bar Tables would also work incredibly well as a place to serve your drinks.
As well as a dart board, lounge area, fridge and even a disco ball, this customer has really made this space their own.

Quality

With all our log cabins & garages, we adhere to Dutch and German standards, renowned for being considerably higher than in the UK.

Slow Grown Timber

We offer a 10 year anti rot promise, as long as your cabin is well ventilated and able to “breathe” so it can dry. Our cabins will last much longer as long as you look after it.
We have an excellent comprehensive blog on treatments and rotting in one of our blogs.

Customer Reviews

We can go on about how good this garden garage cabin is, but why just take our word for it? We have many happy customers who have taken the time to write a review, here are just a few.

Hannah says

Susan says

Philip says
We could not be more pleased with our “Rydell” garage. We first heard of Tuin through a family member who uses their building as a printmaking studio, and as a musician I wanted to find something identical but a little more square in shape, to accommodate the equipment / activity planned for it. It is perfect for my needs as a building; The construction is extremely robust, and the design is very attractive. The service Tuin provided, from first contact through to delivery was exemplary, and the building is getting a lot of admiring comments from my neighbours.

Benefits of keeping your car in a garage

More secure

Having your car sitting in a driveway leaves it exposed to being potentially broken into or stolen. Having a secure area to store it in is a must-have. This solid garden garage is an ideal solution. Its large reinforced hinges, double glazing, and door push bolt help keep your beloved car secure.

Protects car from weather

The great British weather can be a little unforgiving at times, as well as temperamental.
Years of bad and even “good” weather can take its toll on a car.
Whether it’s rusted wheel arches, or faded paintwork the downfalls of leaving your car outside increases the risks.

Makes everyday life a little easier

Storing your car in a sheltered environment can also make your life a little easier. With summers getting hotter, having a cooler outbuilding to keep your car out of direct sunlight is a real comfortable benefit

Helps avoid damage

Keeping your car outside also leaves it prone to other potential damages. Stone chips from passing vehicles or wing mirrors being knocked off can be a real nuisance.

Kerb appeal

A lot of people like to take pride in the way their house looks from the outside, storing your car off the street can help with this. A pleasant-looking garden garage prevents the exterior of your home from looking messy and gives it a cleaner look.

Save money on insurance

Some insurance companies could possibly offer a lower rate if they know you will be parking your car in your secure home garage. Storing it off the streets leaves it less open to potential theft or damages, so the chance of you needing to claim is a lot lower.
