We bought two sets of the Tuin vents for our cabin and placed them on opposite walls as advices in all the guidance.
The vents are great, good quality and look really good and a change from the usual cheap plastic ones.

Hello. I purchased 2 of these air vents last year and have recently installed them in my log cabin after I noticed mould buildng up on both ends of one of the timber strips.. at each end.. as well as the entire strip feeling rather moist to the touch on occasions. There also appears to be a slight split in the same piece of wood .this is treated but not painted. Not sure if this is a reason for the moist? Anyway. I've installed the vents high up on the front and back walls. After reading these reviews today.. I see it mentioned that vents should be placed one high up and one low down. My question is should I move one or will it be okay both being high up? I could always purchase a third and place it low down as well if you think this helps ? Any help would be beyond appreciated. Installing vents on opposing walls, one high and one low does provide the best chances of air being able to flow through the whole building, it would be worth a try to help with this problem

The right height to fit in one log, easy to drill holes in the wood to fit these. Screws supplied are not very good quality be careful the heads do not shear off when tightening. I had some old gauze/netting which I cut to size and put behind to stop insects coming through.

Bought these air vents for my Tuin log cabin as I’ve started noticing slight damp in the corners . As recommended I’ve fitted one high and one low on opposite sides of my cabin and they’re making a massive difference already , they look look smart , easy to install and help create an airflow through my cabin .
A little tip fit a small piece of mesh under the vent to prevent unwanted bugs and spiders .

Order a set of vents from Tuin to fit to my Dyre Log cabin to improve ventilation. When l ordered they were out of stock but Tuin were on the ball and kept me up to date with emails and calls. They are very easy to fit. The kit comes with screws. Bought some 1mm wire mesh to keep out bugs. Very pleased with this product.

If you have your log cabin shut up lots, or use it as a gym/workshop/pretty much anything, then you need one of these. Dead easy to fit (literally just drill a few holes and screw in) and lets your cabin breathe so prevents it from getting stuffy, good for preventing condensation, etc. Another quality product from Tuin.

I have a Tuin Peggy cabin, with 45mm thick walls. I have a gas heater in it and it was cutting out due to lack of oxygen. I installed two air vents and now there's plenty of fresh air.
There were also some signs of mould appearing in the bottom corner. This has also gone away now I have the air vents.
I'd definitely encourage you to install some for the health and long being of your cabin.

Great little vent and comes with colour match countersunk screws. The vent has nicely rounded corners. We have installed the vents inside and outside of the log cabin to cover the holes through the logs. As the internal vent is up above head height we have turned the vent upside down so as not to see through the vent blades which hides the holes through the log. The vent sits nicely within the height of a single log also. Highly recommended.

We bought a Nilsson log cabin from you - everything has been great - however one of the doors had a crack in the glass when we were unpacking - you ordered a new pane of glass which was delivered last week - still very surprised that we had to change the pane ourselves! Ok it was fine my husband did it but what if I had been in my own - no tools who would have done it then ? Considering it was damaged goods on arrival !!

I wanted to make sure my log cabin was properly ventilated during the winter months. I looked around several places to find suitable vents, but couldn’t find anything that would fit perfectly on one beam like this. So if you do want to fit vents I can only recommend you buy these at the same time as your cabin, and don’t waste time looking elsewhere.

Excellent air vent grille. A template for cutting out the opening through the timber would have been appreciated. Also I had to stagger the 2 grilles as my log cabin is only 19mm thick timber, to avoid screws touching.

Purchased a log cabin in the summer from Tuin and amazing quality but being a chap that cuts corners at times I omitted to install vents. As winter hit and the cabin was unused slight damp started to show and a quick call and view of the informative blogs and 2 sets of vents ordered. 1 for the top and one for the bottom. Both sets installed with minimum fuss and a great fit considering hey fit neatly on a single log and are a pleasant sight internally and externally. All issues noe resolved and coupled this vent install with silicone sealant on the edges which double up the protection - again another great piece of advice on the blog! This has been my 2nd cabin from Tuin and both working well. Garden now finished and hopefully you can make out the small vent installed to the side! Thank you Tuin and the team!

Great sturdy little air vent for myt Emma corner cabin.
After a little advice from the guys at Tuin, I decided to fit this in the overhang. I don't expect to be using my cabin during the winter months so took Tuin's advice and fitted one as part of the build. Will be happy to order another if I feel a little more air flow is needed later on down the line.
So far so good ! Simple to fit and comes complete with screws.

We had an issue with a dusty mould settling on the back rests on two leather couches that we have in our recently purchased Agnes. This is a good looking vent cover set specifically sized to fit inside one log width of a cabin. It is a little expensive given that it doesn’t include a fly screen, but it fits perfectly, is made of aluminium (rather than plastic) and is simple to install.
I did look elsewhere but couldn’t find anything similar on the market so bought this. Very happy with installed product as looks really nice on the building.

This was just a second vent as I thought two were a better idea, despatched and received quickly. I cannot recommend Tuin highly enough. They also replaced two double glazed windows that were discovered to be cracked when work started and the log cabin was unpacked.
Be aware that you must keep all the labelling and notes in case of damage.

The air vent is the same size as the width of a log on the cabin. it comes as two parts one for inside one for outside . It is metal . It Would have been good if there were some instructions on were to place the vent as a newbie to log cabins I had to look it up .

This is a pretty basic peiece of kit but it does was it is designed for. It comes in two pieces which look easy to fit but obviously you need to drill a hole to allow air to pass through the vent. It is suggested to use a piece of fly gauze in the middle to keep out creepy crawlies. Maybe one of these coul;d be included but it isn't. That said, I'm happy with my purchase.

Great product. Arrived quickly and is perfectly sized to fit the slats in my log cabin.
Most of the vents available from my local chain DIY stores weren't actually suitable for outdoor use, so I was really pleased to find these from Tuin.
The condensation problems I'd had in the cabin have all but vanished since I installed these air vents.
You'll need to source some meshing to use with these vents to stop bugs getting in.
All in all - good product, and the good communication and speedy delivery from Tuin means I wouldn't hesitate using them again.

I drilled two 70mm holes high up on diagonally opposite walls , fitted soffit vents both sides of each wall and finished off with the Tuin plates which look very neat.

After much research and trying to source the best product for a log size the price is adequate. We think this is not bad value compared to those in the market. We do advise though you can source alternative styles and designs locally which maybe suitable at alternative prices.
Certainly if a customer finds a better, suitable product we would be interested in it and sourcing it as an alternative. We have though tried our best with this vent so it is suitable in our opinion in size, quality and suitability.

All very well in explaining the need for a vent but what about some advice on fitting? Do you drill holes in the logs or cut out a lump with a jigsaw. Might seem obvious to some but not to me. I've bought two and need advice on how to prepare the logs prior to screwing in the plates, I presume one inside and one outside. And where is the best place to fit them?

Although slightly expensive I am very pleased with the vents and like the fact that they will allow our Jos log cabin to 'breath'.
The screws provided are stainless steel, vents are aluminium.
I have also fitted black plastic mesh to creep insects out.
They look very neat and fit within one log height which makes them ideal.

Had some moisture build up in my new Hugo shed and so ordered these vents. Look good and well made. They don’t come with an insect filter but cheaply solved by fitting a fine mesh to the back of the vent. Problem solved!
