Apex Roof Carport 4.0 x 6.0m

Arrived on time and is an excellent addition to our home and most important keeps the car clean and dry. Has gained the admiration of many neighbours.

Great product looks good and materials are generously sized. Ordering and delivery process was good and drivers were great at following instructions despite being away at time of delivery. We found that lateral stability was less than expected so we took the two middle diagonal braces on either side and fixed them internally on the end supports which improved this no end. Overall a great product.

Very good quality and sturdy car port kit, looks great and we're very happy with it. It is substantial and it did take longer to construct than expected. Good communication from the Tuin team throughout the ordering and construction process, close to giving it 5 stars. Felt that some hints and tips on construction would be useful as the visual guide wasn't great. Thanks to the Tuin team, I'd buy another if needed.

This is a very sturdy carport , fairly easy to construct but both apex are very heavy , you really need 3 people for this , looks great and very pleased with it.

I assembled this myself with a friend and the main difficulty was manoeuvring the triangular trusses onto the supporting beam - they are very heavy and want to fall over!

1. Quality of the product 7/10- as with another review I too had split posts and whilst I understand the nature of wood and how it can split, I feel the quality control of the outgoing order was not good enough. I suspect it was only checked prior to packaging. Other than that the materials and construction are sturdy. 2. Product information 1/10 I tried to obtain detailed drawings as I was having a concrete base and block retaining wall to support the base some 900mm off the ground level, therefore it was critical that the reinforced extended bases for the post were in the correct position. I sent emails and phoned but I was met with a very poor service indeed. No one knew how far apart the roof joists should be spaced and I was told that they could be placed anywhere on the supporting 4x2inch (100 x 50mm)timber support, which of course is total nonsense for two reasons. 1. The supporting timbers are joined at 3metres and therefore need a joist underneath and the roof lathes were exactly 2metres in length requiring the joists to be positioned to the millimetre. By not giving me the information I was not able to fit the gallows brackets at either end of the structure, rendering the entire structure slightly weaker than it should be. n.b. The product information sheet that came was totally waterlogged but was not good as it had no measurements at all. Tuin webpage had no measurements on it either. 3. Delivery 10/10 excellent communication and delivery was prompt and the company and driver accommodated my requests.

Very pleased with the product (large car port. The design and quality is very good and it looks excellent.
Delivery was a bit less positive with the initial guarantee of a 2 week delivery and 4 of the original posts split in excess of usability. Replacement delivery almost 2 weeks later supplied. Very happy now the product is up but the delays caused problems.
