Our Log Cabins can have a variety of purposes for a UK Garden. The thickness of the logs give an indication of their appropriate usage. Please see examples below:
19mm Thick Logs - Sturdier than traditional sheds, these 19mm thick logs utilise the tongue and groove construction for a sturdier building. These cabins will be ideal to use as a garden shed and storage solution.
28mm Thick Logs - These are a great all rounder and lend themselves to a perfect summer house for occasional use.
34 - 45mm Thick Logs - This size is appropriate for annual usage. Providing a fair balance between heat costs and budget costs of the actual log cabin. Regardless, you will need to add insulation to the roof along with the floor on your cabin for optimal year-round use.
58mm thick logs - A very strong and sturdy building with high thermal capacity. This is the thickness if you are looking for reliable annual usage without being too large. Floor and roof insulation will be needed.
70mm thick logs - This is the best size for full time accommodation. This is a serious cabin for housing and office purposes, but at this level you may encounter problems with building regulations and planning permission. Please contact us for our advice.
