Delivery of Your Garden Shed

Your 19mm garden shed will arrive as a pre-packed kit, delivered by articulated lorry equipped with a demountable, self-powered forklift to safely position the packages. Delivery is made to the kerbside—typically your driveway or an accessible pathway leading to the garden—and you don’t need to be present when it arrives. If your property has restricted access or limited space for unloading, simply let us know beforehand so we can help make suitable arrangements.

Once your shed has been delivered, we recommend checking the package promptly to ensure all components are present and undamaged before you begin installation.

Preparing the Base for Your Garden Shed

A solid, level foundation is essential for the longevity and proper performance of your shed or storage building. The base supports the structure, keeps it stable, and helps prevent issues such as uneven settling, moisture ingress, or misalignment during installation.

Your base can be constructed from a variety of materials—including concrete, timber, or paving slabs—as long as it meets the following key requirements:

  • The perimeter must support the majority of the shed’s overall weight.

  • The base should be designed with the building’s total weight in mind, remembering that a 19mm shed differs significantly from heavier log thicknesses like 70mm.

  • The surface must be completely level in all directions.

  • A square base is strongly recommended for accurate installation.

  • The base should extend slightly beyond the building’s footprint for optimal support and drainage.
