An alternative to our felt shingles is metal roofing sheets. These have a life expectancy of at least 20 years. Easy to fit and give the impression of traditional roof tiles. Quick to fit and very light at only 6kg / m.sq. Only suitable for Apex Roofs.

Metal Roof Tiles Charcoal Roof Tile

Metal Roof Tiles are a very viable alternative to felt tiles, these will last for at least twenty years, quick and easy to install and look like traditional tiles.

Suitable for Apex roofs only. These are NOT suitable for Flat or Pyramid roofs.

These are universal roofing sheets and will fit any roof, not just our log cabins or Larch buildings. Each sheet contains five tiles in width and seven tiles in height. Tiles are overlapped without the need for cutting. Very fast and easy to install with no waste. These are NOT suitable for flat roofs

Self tapping screws with EPDM seal. 40 Pieces per pack. (Six needed per sheet)

HOW MUCH DO YOU NEED?
Metal Roof Plates - calculate as follows:

Measure the total width and length of the roof to find the area in meters and then divide by 0.86 - round up this figure for the number of metal roof panels needed.
Example:

Roof boards are 2.37m in length
Roof length is 4.25m
2.37 x 4.25 = 10.07
To find the number of panels divide this by 0.86 (useable dimension of a panel)
10.07 / 0.86 = 11.70 - Therefore 12 panels are required
Remember this is ONE side of the roof so the total building will need 24 metal roof panels for both sides.

METAL ROOF BARGE BOARDS CALCULATION:
Roof boards length in meters and divide by 0.81. Round this up and multiply by four to account for all sides.

METAL RIDGE CAPPING CALCULATION:
Measure the length of the ridge in meters and divide by 0.81. Round this up for the number required.
End Caps - Each roof will require two end caps for the ridge pieces.

Screws: Each self tapping Screw pack contains 40 screws. Nine screws are required per plate including barge boards and ridge pieces. These screws are 20mm in length.
