This untreated Douglas fir batten, measuring 28 x 36 mm and 4 meters in length, is commonly used for facade cladding and as a support for roof tiles. Because these battens are sawn from undried timber, there is a risk of moisture seepage during the first few months. They are also known as tack battens.
