Concrete Foundation Post - Charcoal Straight XL M20
Are you looking for a cheaper alternative to a concrete base for your garden structures? Look no further than our Concrete Foundation Posts. These concrete items are a suitable foundation for when you want to support wooden posts such as with our log cabin, gazebos or larch garden buildings.
This concrete base has a luxurious look and is beautifully finished. This straight concrete base has the advantage that it is easy to level and is often used under the walls of a canopy so that the concrete band fits nicely tight, this is not possible with a beveled model.
Installing a concrete foundation
Place this concrete base 2/3 in the ground on a tile in the ground. Then add a bag of quick-drying cement. Ensure a 100% right-angled setup. So make sure that the diagonal posts are exactly the same distance apart. You can easily adjust your post with this foot. The metal plate (available separately) belonging to this concrete base is 12 x 12 cm and has a hole of m20 in the middle. The advantage of this very complete concrete base is that the mounting plate is already welded to the threaded end. So you only have to attach the plate to your wooden uprights. First screw the height adjustment plate with wood screws or countersunk screws of 70-80 mm (pre-drilling is recommended) at the bottom of your wooden post of 15x15 or 20x20 cm thickness and then carefully turn the whole thing onto your base. Temporarily secure with roof battens.
