The Lukas 34mm log cabin with adjoining shed measuring 4.5m x 3.0m with a 50cm porch area to the front. The integral shed area measures 1.50m. This log cabin can be constructed so the shed is either to the left or right as required and is decided at the point of installation (Note: one log needs to be cut and adjusted to accomplish this)
A stylish and useful cabin in 34mm interlocking wall logs. It comes with a double half glazed door, one single half glazed door and one double window. Built using carefully chosen Spruce, whitewood timber.
Supplied untreated, the Lucas log cabin will require treatment as soon as it has been installed. Further treatment options include stains or impregnation fluid, available in clear, green or brown - available to order alongside the log cabin. We also recommend insulating your Log Cabin after treating your cabin.
The Lukas Log Cabin features as standard:
Conical tongue and groove for stability
34mm Tongue and Groove interlocking logs
Double half glazed door
Single half glazed door
Double opening window
Quality door fittings
Real glass
Fixing kit and instruction manual
Wind and watertight connections
Minimum 16mm Roof Boards
Dimensions:

Footprint: 4.32 x 2.82m
Ridge Height: 2.50m
Eaves Height 1.89m

We highly recommend shingles with your log cabin: The final finish is far more superior and turns a shed into a stunning log cabin. Ordinary felt will last two - three years. Shingles will last for at least 15 years and it is unlikely you will ever need to replace them.

I will start out by saying that I absolutely love my log cabin. I scoured the Internet for weeks doing my research and settled on Tuin as the best of the bunch. The lukas cabin in particular seems almost unique with its separate shed and summer house under one roof. What a perfect design! Delivery was hassle free and easy. The driver was very good and placed the large pallet on my driveway with no problems. Carrying all the logs to the back garden took me a few hours (I'm 38 and healthy and I was tired so I'd recommend 2 people for this to make it easier). Most of the parts are numbered so I stacked them in like piles for easier assembly. It took me a day on my own to build the walls, another day (with my dad helping) to fit the roof and shingles, another 2 days to paint, and yet another day to fit the floor. This leads me to my only real problem. I opted for the composite starter beams, and when I went to fit the floor, it sat higher than the door threshold. I emailed Tuin, and the only solution is to cut down every single floor beam by approx 20mm! So I found myself with over 50 beams to cut down on my table saw. Not great as I had done nothing wrong. In my opinion the floor kits are not worth the money, you'd be better off buying your own timber for this after the cabin is built. Overall though this was a minor issue and the quality of the cabin is amazing. You will not be disappointed!
I spent a lot of time researching log cabins before deciding on Tuin and was very pleased with the quality of the cabin and its value for money. I was kept fully informed about delivery and the driver was excellent, placing the material exactly where I wanted. The cabin took a builder friend just over 2 days to erect and he was impressed with the labelling of the logs to aid construction. Now it is up I am in the process of wood treating it with preservative and then a clear waterproof protective paint which I am hoping will keep it looking good for years. I am a very satisfied customer indeed!
