Important Notes for Application

  • If a log cabin is regularly shut up, not ventilated, or lacks a DPM (Damp Proof Membrane), we also recommend treating the inside of the building. It's always good practice to paint the inside of doors and windows to stabilise the timber in high and low relative humidity.

  • Three liberal coats are advisable; four coats are even better. Treating doors and windows inside and outside is a good idea to stabilise the wood and guard against warping.

  • For log cabins, at least three coats are recommended. Pay special attention to all joints and liberally apply in these areas, especially the corner joints, windows, and doors. While it's best to treat the cabin prior to installation, we understand this isn't always practical.
