Parijs Log Cabin 5 x 3.8m
A spacious log cabin for a variety of purposes
If you’re looking for a large garden building with plenty of space, our Parijs Log Cabin is ideal. This log cabin lends itself to a number of uses and allows you to extend your living space with a comfortable indoor space or somewhere you can enjoy your garden, whatever the weather.
The double doors and two windows to the front of the cabin allow plenty of light to flood the spacious interior which is perfect for relaxing, dining, socialising or even a space for the kids to go when they have friends over.
Built using 45mm interlocking Spruce logs, our log cabins are designed to be durable and long-lasting. We choose Spruce timber due to its quality and resistance to rot, insect damage, warping and cracking.
Supplied in untreated logs, the Parijs can be customised to match the style of your garden. We offer a range of treatment options including stains, paints and impregnation fluid to protect your log cabin from the elements. All our log cabins are provided with a 10-year guarantee as long as you treat it regularly so you have peace of mind that your log cabin will be protected over the long term.

This is the second cabin we have bought from Tuin and we've been very impressed with the sales and delivery process, the price and the quality on both occasions. The previous cabin bought 3 years ago was the Victoria for general relaxation and this current one is the Parijs which we bough to create a home gym. Each cabin has had four coats of clear Carefree Protect although we had to buy the recent batch direct from Holland due to not being in stock on the Tuin website. The 3 year old Victoria looks as good as new so I would highly recommend spending the money on the treatment to protect your investment. The assembly process on both occasions was very simple, just like putting lego together and I didn't encounter any problems at all with damaged or missing wood. For the Victoria I built a sturdy wooden frame supported with ground spikes due to a sloped surface and therefore not suitable for a concrete base. That was also very simple and the cabin hasn't moved at all. For the Parijs cabin I hired a builder to create a concrete base as I felt that was too much hard work for me personally. I built both cabins entirely on my own and although some of the lengths were heavy and cumbersome I didn't have any particular trouble. Both cabins took about 3 days each to erect and finish although the structure for each was up in one day. The roof, shingles, flooring and insulation and painting took the majority of the time. On both occasions I also hired an electrician as I'm not competent with that. Electrics for the Victoria cost about 1500 but that was across the garden and back to the consumer unit. The Parijs was about 1000 because they spurred from a spare fuse on the Victoria. I've attached photos of the Parijs and will also send photo's (then and now) of the Victoria if there's any interest.
I couldn't update my previous review however I really would like to earn anyone who lives in an exposed area not to even consider shingles on the roof. I fitted ours as instructed and luckily had a very hot April during which the shingles should have melted together. This obviously didn't happen as everytime we get wind over 20mph I'm up on the roof sticking more tiles down. I woke up this morning to an Easterly wind only to see more shingles flapping in the wind. Unless your site is well sheltered please don't use shingles. I spent more time fitting them than the summerhouse took to build only to now give up and cover them with roofing felt.
