Ipswich Log Cabin 4.4 x 6.3m

Create a spacious garden building centrepiece with our Ipswich Log Cabin. The Ipswich is a spacious and airy building offering full glazed front and three opening windows to the side. Perfect as additional living space, this log cabin benefits from double doors and a side opening window.

Unlike a panelled wooden building, the Ipswich is constructed using individual interlocking Spruce logs. Slow grown, these logs are well known for their tight, dense wood grain which contributes to the durability and longevity of a log cabin.

Don't forget about insulating your Log Cabin.

The Ipswich Log Cabin features

As standard, the Ipswich comes with the following:

  • 58mm interlocking wall logs

  • Triple conical tongue and groove for stability

  • Double door

  • 2m Veranda and Canopy

  • Side opening windows - Tilt and Turn

  • Quality door and window fittings

  • Double glazing

  • Fixing kit and instruction manual

  • Wind and watertight connections

  • Minimum 16mm Tongue and Groove Roof Boards

Dimensions

  • Overall Dimensions: 4.40m x 4.40m plus 2.0m veranda

  • Overall this building is: 4.4m x 6.63m

  • Internal Dimensions: 4.08m x 4.08m

  • Footprint: 4.20m x 6.43m

  • Ridge Height: 2.57m

  • Eaves Height: 2.16m

  • Veranda: 2.0m

We highly recommend shingles with your log cabin: The final finish is far more superior and turns a shed into a stunning log cabin. Ordinary felt will last two - three years. Shingles will last for at least 15 years and it is unlikely you will ever need to replace them.

We are absolutely thrilled with the Ipswich we built as a garden space/ office during the Covid lockdown. We chose to build it on a raised timber deck bearing onto concrete blocks which are themselves sat on small concrete pads. The cabin fitted perfectly, erection was very simple although i was not prepared for how heavy the window unit is and was fortunate to have 2 teenage boys to help. Getting the cabin up is the easy part, the roof boards, insulation & shingles all took longer and as we were insulating the floor between timber beams this took a fair amount of time also. We insulated both the floor (50mm)and the roof (75mm) and as the weather cools it is keeping very snug. Paint was supplied by SML using Demidekk Ultimate. This required one coat of visit primer and 3 coats of paint. Not particularly quick to apply but we are delighted with the result. Only slight niggle was with the doorset. In the end we got a joiner to sort this - money we'll spent. Overall a fantastic cabin & service.
