Emiel Log Cabin 5.0x5.0m

The Emiel Log Cabin 5m x 5m with a large supported front canopy. Manufactured using 45mm interlocking logs and double glazing, the Emiel includes double doors and tall fixed windows with one window in a side wall.

Your very own wooden retreat, the interlocking logs of the 45mm Emiel Log Cabin present an authentic image of a Scandinavian holiday home.

But far closer to home in your back garden, the Emiel offers additional leisure space for use all year round. The thick logs create natural warmth and when combined with insulation, provide a cosy and warm environment. Sit outside under the front canopy for breakfast for that real holiday feeling.

The Emiel also benefits from double doors flanked by two tall, fixed windows and an opening side window for ventilation. The side window can be placed in either the left or right wall as required.

Built using slow grown Spruce, chosen for its tight, dense wood grain and quality finish. All timber used must comply with strict Dutch standards - these standards eliminate mixing of timber species and finger jointing, the process whereby short lengths of timber are used to create the full building length, from any Tuin log cabin.

Available in untreated interlocking logs, the Emiel can be customised to match the unique style of each garden. Don't forget about insulating your Log Cabin.

The Emiel Log Cabin features as standard:

  • 45mm interlocking wall logs

  • Double conical tongue and groove for stability

  • Double door

  • Two fixed windows

  • Opening window in the sidewall

  • Front canopy supported by two posts

  • Quality door and window fittings

  • Double glazing

  • Fixing kit and instruction manual

  • Wind and watertight connections

  • Ridge Height: 2.90m

  • Door Height (including frame): 1.90m

  • Rear Overhang: 0.20m

We highly recommend shingles with your log cabin: The final finish is far more superior and turns a shed into a stunning log cabin. Ordinary felt will last two - three years. Shingles will last for at least 15 years and it is unlikely you will ever need to replace them.

After a lot of research we chose to go with Tuin and their 5m x 5m log cabin. The specification was very good and priced very competitively. We took advantage of the free shingles and opted for the tongue and groove floor. Delivery was as stated but I had reservations about the delivery vehicle being too large to gain access to my road. The accompanying forklift likewise would not have negotiated the tight bends with suck a large pallet. The driver was more than willing to try but we had arranged to offload at a nearby friends business yard and transport from there with a smaller vehicle. The build went well as I had taken advantage of the mass of online information. This success would not have been achieved with the written instruction supplied, these could be improved to be more comprehensive. The shingles look great but very time consuming, and the bare minimum are supplied.....so no mistakes!. Now all treated and looking great. Well pleased and would recommend.

Very pleased with my cabin so far, build was a lot easier than expected, but make sure to read all of the additional notes on this website as the instruction book that comes with the cabin is not very detailed. Few pointers I would say to Tuin is give a little more detail on the foundation beam, how this should be laid and and attached.
