This solvent-based treatment is easy to apply and helps to preserve your garden building after installation and year after year. The moisture wicking, water repellent coating forms a protective layer that helps to prevent warping, cracking, mould and splitting while protecting the timber from UV damage.

The rich red colour of the stain enhances the natural beauty of the wood, creating a warm and inviting appearance that stands out in any garden setting. It can be used on its own for a natural stained look but it’s also ideal as an undercoat for our Embalan Timber Paint, providing a great foundation for long-term colour and protection.

Application

We recommend applying at least three coats on untreated wood and lightly sanding between layers for the best results.

When applying to a log cabin, pay special attention to all joints and liberally apply in these areas, particularly corner joints, windows and doors. Doors and windows should be treated inside and outside to stabilise the wood and protect against warping.

If your log cabin will be closed up regularly (such as throughout the winter), is not ventilated or does not have a damp proof membrane, we recommend treating the inside of your log cabin.
