With all the versatility and functionality of a panelled summerhouse, the Sten is constructed using interlocking 28mm spruce logs. An attractive garden retreat, this log cabin features a single door, opening window and small front canopy.

Another great feature of the Sten is the interchangeable window and door positions - no need to decide their positioning until the building is being installed! Not limited to spring and summer use, this log cabin provides valuable storage space all year round.

All timber used is slow grown Spruce for a tight wood grain and the Dutch recognise that this creates a stable and durable garden building. For the highest quality finish, all Tuin log cabins are free from finger jointing and do not include more than one timber species. All Tuin log cabins will arrive untreated and require treatment as soon as they have been installed. Customise to match the theme of any garden using paints.

FREE roof Shingles: As a standard building you can select either roofing felt or FREE shingles. We cannot guarantee which colour or shape will be sent. We will always let you know the colour and style following your order. It is rarely possible to change those offered as it is dependent on our stocks.

Free shingles for this Sten 28mm Log Cabin are the same quality as our standard range and made by the same manufacturer. However, they are last year's stock and old range colours, also some packaging may not be 'as new'.

Standard Roof Shingles: These are from our standard catalogue range and are available in various colours and styles.

We highly recommend shingles with your log cabin: The final finish is far more superior and turns a shed into a stunning log cabin. Ordinary felt will last two - three years. Shingles will last for at least 15 years and it is unlikely you will ever need to replace them.

Roofing - Optional Shingles
Floor Required Spruce T&G floor options are available with your log cabin in two different thicknesses, The floor kits come supplied with treated floor joists, skirtings for the edges and all the fixings required for installation.
Foundation Beams Foundation beams are used to separate the logs of the cabin from the base/hardstanding that it will sit on.

Good delivery, easy to assemble, looks great, quality seems really good.
Instructions could be slightly clearer for the floor and roof.

So pleased with our purchase. We bought our log cabin after helping to build one for my in-laws, and seeing just how good a product it is. We built our cabin over two days including the floor installation. I highly recommend (if you are painting your cabin) giving it a base coat before building as it makes the following coats very easy to apply.

My Sten log cabin arrived on time with the driver phoning me 30 minutes before he arrived. With the help of friends we had the cabin built in 8 hours using the instructions and videos from the TUIN site. The build quality is excellent. If you are thinking of buying a log cabin I would highly recommend TUIN

Well what an excellent cabin from ordering to being delivered a great experience .
I found the instruction booklet not very clear in some instances and although I spent many hours looking and re-looking at the build videos some things were not straight forward ie in one video they screw the roof boards on and in another they nail them ? maybe because I am old the grey matter wasn't working at full capacity !.
I was also short of two floor planks and had to finish off the flooring with offcuts not what I expected but still looks ok in the end.
The team replied to my emails promptly and on the whole were helpful, I would definitely recommend the TUIN products to family and friends and feedback from the photos of the build I have sent out have been glowing !
To sum up it is and also it isn't Easy to build a Cabin, if you are used to doing this then yes it is if not then there might be some head scratching but the end result when you stand back and look at what you have achieved is very satisfying .
