Carefree Protectant Timber Treatment 2.5L – Concrete Grey
The perfect finish for your log cabin or wooden garden building
Finish your log cabin or other timber garden buildings with our Carefree Protectant Timber Treatment, developed alongside Valvoline to produce a world class timber treatment.
Carefree Protectant water-based coating without solvents penetrates deep into the wood and gives all wood types and wood products such as fences, decking, garden furniture, garden posts, log cabins, garden houses and hardwoods a protective coating that prevents the wood from rotting, protects from insects and preserves the lifespan of your building.
It forms a protective layer against moisture, sunlight, wind and other elements, protecting your timber garden building on the outside. This treatment is a concrete grey colour, allowing you to paint your garden building to match other features in your garden.
Coverage
Coverage is dependent on the individual painter but overall, you can expect 6-8 m.sq per litre. So, with a 2.5L tin, you can expect coverage of 15-20 m.sq.
The layer thickness is around 20-30 microns on average. A depth of 80-120 microns is recommended for all log cabins. We recommend three to four coats of this treatment for maximum coverage and longevity with reapplication every few years.

The Carefree treatment range is highly recommended for use on:
Log cabins and all timber buildings
