Ordered Lukas cabin as I needed sturdy shed space and a garden workshop. Arrived on the date promised and my wife and I set to unpacking and sorting the pieces. Time well spent as next day we started assembly, really easy to erect and cabin and roof were up by end of day one.Day two saw the shingles fitted and day three the floors. Quality of pieces and machining were excellent and it fitted together with just a tap of the mallet. Instructions on the site were really useful and we resolved a broken pane of glass without fuss. All my neighbours now have shed envy.
Mr A then sent us a series of pictures of his build and these are particularly useful if you are intending to use a timber frame base for your log cabin. - A really solid base is key to any log cabin build. It must be 100% straight, level and square.

- Joist hanger are being used for the inner joists, these can also form part of the floor.

- Plastic packaging removed, this picture gives you an idea of how tightly the logs are put in the pack. They are not packed in order though.

- First few layers on wall logs going down. The base has been made exactly to the footprint of the building.

- Roof shingles being fitted. It is a good idea to remove the doors by lifting off the hinges
