The Samos Gazebo presents the perfect outdoor entertainment space – the rectangular shape creates a long sheltered area which is ideal for covering a garden furniture set. The roof provides protection from the elements and shade from the sun whilst the open sides maintain a link with your natural surroundings.

The wooden frame consists of six square posts, used to support a stunning apex style rectangular roof. For the perfect finishing touch, each gazebo is offered with optional coloured felt shingles - available in black, brown, red, green or blue. These allow the individual gazebo to be customised to compliment the theme of each outdoor space.

Manufactured using the highest quality dried and smooth planed Larch.

Larch timber

Comes from well managed forest and is one of the most durable softwood species.

It has a very warm colour and texture. Larch is in great demand for use in building due to being tough, waterproof and high durable qualities: top quality, In central Europe it is viewed as one of the best wood for building houses

It is within the timber durability class of 3 - 4 and is ideal for garden buildings and structures. It is a resinous wood whose heartwood colour exhibits amber pink to reddish brown and if often chosen for its rich colour. As it ages it will eventually get a weathered look. We can provide very high quality treatments that will allow it to keep its natural colour so valued.

The Samos Gazebo features as standard:

  • Air dried, smooth planed Larch
  • Standard roofing felt or optional shingles
  • Fixing kit and instruction manual

Many customers will also choose timber from our vast range of garden timber to create their own bespoke walls.

Gazebo Timber Base Pack:

Timber bases are a very easy alternative to something like slabs or concrete, often very little or no ground work will be required. We can supply a pack of materials for you to make your own timber base from. The timber with in the pack will arrive slightly oversized so cutting will be required as well as self assembly.

Installation: If you are building this gazebo yourself please see our information page for advice and tips.

Treatment:

Being Larch this building does not need to be treated and will weather similar to oak. However, if you appreciate the distinctive colour and wish to preserve this we recommend a clear treatment such as our Carefree Protect. Of course solid colours can also be used if you would like to paint it a solid colour.

FREE roof Shingles: As a standard gazebo you can select EITHER roofing felt OR FREE shingles.

Free shingles for this gazebo are the same quality as our standard range and made by the same manufacturer. However, they are last years stock and old range colours, also some packaging may not be as new

Standard Roof Shingles: These are from our standard catalogue range and are available in various colours and styles.

We highly recommend shingles with your gazebo: The final finish is far more superior then felt.. Ordinary felt will last two - three years. Shingles will last for at least 15 years and it is unlikely you will ever need to replace them.

We bought a Tuin Samos Larch Gazebo. Would certainly recommend the larch over other woods as finish is superb.

Tuin website is fantastic for "how to" installation instructions and if correctly set out everything just drops into place, need a few tweaks to make roof perfect but that's just me!

Now considering adding side kits and handrails for aesthetic effect.

Overall we feel we made a very good choice and will post pictures once complete.

We recently purchased this gazebo and built it ourselves. The instructions that come with it are rather basic but coupled with the advice on the website it is easy enough to do although it's best not to hurry it. I found all communication to be very quick and helpful. The end result is a lovely looking gazebo that has had great feedback from friends and neighbours.

Really pleased with this gazebo. Good quality materials and service all around. Tips for others would include: 1) Watch and read the videos/blogs for assembly on the website (the instructions provided are pretty basic diagrams which don't give enough detail and are small. 2) Be systematic and take your time. I managed to assemble it on my own but it took 3-4 weekends. 3) Good idea to buy some glue for the roof shingles just to add extra adhesion, as in some places on the hip ridges/roof ridge the nails provided won't quite be long enough to reach the wood. 4) If not assembling immediately, store your wood somewhere dry and flat to prevent it warping in rain/sun.

The Samos Gazebo is a fantastic feature in our courtyard, we absolutely love it, as does everybody who sees it.

It's all in the preparation, as long as you have the posts square and measure the right overhangs for the roof joists then everything will fit together perfectly.

I used some galvanised post supports under the posts to keep the wood away from the damp floor, they fasten to the underside of the posts and look almost invisible. Gives the impression that the gazebo is suspended.

I had one rotten roof board, but a couple were supplied as spare, which I needed to use as a replacement. I had about 10 sheets of shingles left, after double stacking the initial shingle course, the main roof and completing the hips and ridge. So plenty of spare shingles are supplied. Cut the shingles from the underside, otherwise it will be tough going.

I bought some mini guttering to finish off the Gazebo, and have wired in a couple of power sockets on the top of the ring beam, and suspended some lights from the ceiling.

The instructions from Richard on the website are very good, although figuring out how to finish off the shingles on the hips and ridge required some serious meditation.

The instructions which come with the gazebo are useless however, it's more or less a packing list.

I would recommend!
