This cabin is a 'special' stock item and not available in the current catalogue or with Retailers of our products.

FREE roof Shingles: As a standard building you can select either roofing felt or FREE shingles. We cannot guarantee which colour or shape will be sent.  We will always let you know the colour and style following your order.  It is rarely possible to change those offered as it is dependant on our stocks.

Free shingles for this 28mm Ivar transverse roof Log Cabin are the same quality as our standard range and made by the same manufacturer.  However, they are last years stock and old range colours, also some packaging may not be 'as new'.

Standard Roof Shingles: These are from our standard catalogue range and are available in various colours and styles.

We highly recommend shingles with your log cabin:  The final finish is far more superior and turns a shed into a stunning log cabin. Ordinary felt will last two - three years.  Shingles will last for at least 15 years and it is unlikely you will ever need to replace them.

It took us a while to eventually decide which log cabin would suit our garden and needs. Eventually we decided on the IVAR and are delighted with it. Dealing with Tuin made for a sound investment, exceptional customer service and advice and outstanding quality of product. The delivery was made in a timely manner and it was really easy to build. After sales service has also been very professional with information on water treating our cabin. Would have no hesitation in using Tuin again if the need arises, and absolutely love our IVAR.

after reading many reviews on buying log cabins, I kept coming across Tuin so decided to trust the reviews. I bought the Ivar cabin, with no previous experience in building cabins I must say how easy it was to build the shell, and roof was built by 2 of us in 5 hours and the floor went in next day. It was simple to build and every piece was precisely cut and fit together perfectly. I would certainlY recommend Tuin and any of there products to anyone.

In terms of design, the Ivar cabin is a good size, porch adds interest both inside and out and the two windows making it light and airy. Ordering was straight forward with good communication to agree the week for delivery. However, delivery is subcontracted out and the cabin arrived unannounced a day early quite late into the evening. That said, the driver was very good unloading and transporting the cabin package where required. Overall we found the cabin of excellent quality although a few pieces were damp and stained. We also had some of the floor packs missing which were sent on separately later. Two of us managed to get the cabin up in a day. The tricky parts being the initial set out of the foundation beams (since the cabin doesn't have a rectangular floor plan) and the roofing. We also had to cut the timbers near the roof to get the main beam to fit. Late into the evening we finished with the shingles to make the cabin water tight. On this design, the porch post isn't included in the pack although it isn't needed to support the roof. Overall we are delighted with the cabin - it is solid in construction and looks great in the garden

This is a really gorgeous cabin. Having the porch section makes for a much more cosy and less 'shed like' feel inside and out. Putting it together was very easy. The walls themselves went up in about 2.5 hrs, working mostly on my own with some help from the kids and my wife. The instructions were simple and clear. All parts were included and in great condition. The roof however will take a long time to put on due to the positioning of the tongue and groove boards and the amount of nailing. The felt shingles is definitely a well-advised upgrade giving a much better appearance and better longevity. It took 2-3 days for this whole process for me. The preparation prior to erecting the cabin is also more substantial. Creating a stable, square and perfectly level base is crucial and takes time, 1-2 days. I also will need to treat it and this will take at least a whole day. Still, a very gratifying job and a really lovely addition to the garden, providing playing and relaxing space for the family. Brilliant value and fantastic service from Tuin too. My one question is about the supporting pole for the porch. Mine did not have one, nor display one in the instructions-something to inquire about if you purchase this lovely cabin.
